Rickety Records began with Tiny Little Help in Pittsburgh in 1990, who after relocating to Albuquerque in 1992-3, released The Mad Leafless Tree in 1994. After recording Postmaster Flash in 1995, TLH moved back to Pittsburgh, where its members formed or joined The Working Poor, Dirty Faces, Dead at 24, The Johnsons, The Bumps, Viragos, Anita Fix & Bambam and Raw Blow.
